QUEZON CITY, Metro Manila -- BIR Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza, a proud Marinduqueño, warmly welcomed the delegation from the Provincial Government of Marinduque during a courtesy visit on Monday, December 1. The visit highlighted the presentation of a Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution recognizing and congratulating him on his appointment as Commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
The BIR expressed its heartfelt appreciation to the provincial leadership for the meaningful gesture and for their continued support of the Bureau’s mandate. According to the agency, the recognition reflects the strong partnership between the national office and local government units in promoting efficient and transparent tax administration.
The delegation, led by Governor Melecio Go, included Vice Governor Romulo Aguinaldo Bacorro Jr. and eight members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan namely Antonio Mangcucang III, Mercedes Rejaño, Jojo Leva, John Pelaez, Gilbert Daqioag, Danilo Red, Ishmael Lim, and Bertinus Valencia.
Also present was Marinduque Lone District Representative Reynaldo Salvacion, who joined the group in extending his support to Commissioner Mendoza. During the meeting, the officials formally handed over the resolution commending Mendoza’s appointment and reaffirming their confidence in his leadership.
Commissioner Mendoza thanked the provincial officials for their visit and recognition, emphasizing his commitment to fulfilling the BIR’s mission with integrity and dedication.
